Project 52 - 4 - 14 Holiday - Christmas
Posted By: photolady95, 12-19-2011, 08:23 PM

Theme for this week. Holiday - Christmas

Time Frame: pictures for Week 14 are to be taken between December 18 through December 25, 2011.

PROJECT 52 - 4
Following are the Rules and Weekly Projects for year 4. Thanks goes to Dan (DanLoc78) for getting this going, and to Rob (Mithrandir) for hosting year 3.
Between year 2 and 3 there are some weeks without P52. This is just for practical reasons,

Rules :
1. Anyone and everyone who is interested is eligible. The goal continues to be
to have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-4 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
6. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active to be eligible for judging.
7. Any picture taken within the period of P52-4 is acceptable for the two “Seasonal” competitions – Projects 52-3-51 & 52!

I have a couple of shots already but I want to wait in case something better pops up as the big day nears.

Great start, Bruce -- thanks!

Everyone else, don't forget to shoot some photos of your festivities for us here. Plenty of time to post shots, and with Mar's indulgence, I'll close this a day later to give everyone time to get their photos in. So Monday end of day is the deadline. Happy Christmas, everyone!

Hi Tamia ... we are in Niagara Falls visiting my son over Christmas. We don't have our photo software but I can submit this straight from the Camera. Fireworks over the Falls celebrating Christmas...

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas all, I decided on an angelic shot taken at my parents' place on Christmas Eve. My mother's tree is almost entirely decorated with angels. She started collecting them 53 years ago when my sister, her first child, was stillborn.

This might be late, but wanted to share it regardless. This is a display my mom had of my grandparents' old "sweetheart" Christmas cards. Fittingly they are displayed atop my grandmother's piano with my grandfather's violin in the background. Very meaningful to me! Merry Christmas!

This contest is now closed! Thanks to everyone who entered -- I'll take 'em all in view of the weekend-Monday holiday. I'll be back later today with the winners.
