POTW # 199 15 January - 29 January 2012
Welcome to edition #199 of the Pentax Forums' Picture of the Week. Special thanks to xjjohnno for hosting the previous week and inviting me to host this week. Feel very privileged!

This edition covers photos from 15 January 2012 - 29 January 2012. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax (and Samsung) cameras in the parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week. A special welcome to all new members!

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

I did take my old Super Tak 50/1.4, and got some shots other than the wheels. How about a little Ferrari red, Lamborghini blue, and Porsche black.

Hi Guys,

Know this one's cutting it pretty fine for this week! Have been away since Tuesday - and stupidly left the internet cable at home. All my online activities were reserved to wolfieboy's laptop, which meant all my edited photos couldn't be uploaded (no usb stick either).

Anyway, just sneaking in before the deadline for some of this week's pics taken on my little trip to Sydney.

Misty morning on the driveway heading out



post processed with ink outlines - i really like that filter. taken on the kx, f35-70.





both of those taken on the kx, tamron 28 2.8. first time i've really given this lens a 'real' outing. the night one was taken through the car window after a night of rain. i wish there was less glare, but this was the only one i took that evening where there wasn't any blur.



k100d, soligor 180mm.



the white flecks should be rain. it was a miserable afternoon with hundreds of stops on the way. taken in the driver's seat at yet another red light. the blurriness on the right edge there is probably from the water on the glass. had to up the levels in order to give the image some more interest - most of my shots taken that afternoon were pretty drab.

As you can see, further along the road (still stuck behind the same dratted truck)

thanks pentaximus i ended up selecting the sky and upping the levels to get the definition on the clouds. had a lot of fun doing that. since i couldn't get online too often it wasn't like i had much else to do... fyi there's a few more bw landscapes from the same drive in the tamron adaptall club. i ran out of space in my previous post to put up any more in one sitting without showing what other things i saw during the week and didn't want to flood this thread at the very last minute.

ah yup, forgot to mention how i took the shot on here. i cross post all over the place and sometimes forget what i wrote in what thread. speaking of which, some of the colour versions should be in my drive by shooting thread. I've been a busy little bee since coming home this morning. am now busy editing the next batch of shots from last week. thanks for the nice comments

Also quite late for this POTW, hope I'm still on time. Thanks for hosting Arn. Been a bit stuck at home this week, and only one trip out for a few photo's at the local Chinese Year of the Dragon celebration, and arrived there, only to have it start raining, putting a damper on things. So being stuck at home means having a look at what's around. These are all from my garden.

This is a visit to the resident pet shop, when the rain put a damper on things.
