POTW # 202 ! 05 February - 18 Feb 2012
Welcome to edition #202 of the Pentax Forums' Picture of the Week. Special thanks to bluestringer for hosting the previous week and inviting me to host the 202nd edition of this series.

This edition covers photos from 05 February - 18 Feb 2012. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. It gives us all a chance to see what other members are up to with their Pentax (and Samsung) cameras in the parts of the world in which they live or have visited. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

So show us what you've seen in your little corner of the planet! Looking forward to seeing all of what's out there this week. A special welcome to all new members!

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

Here are my rejects from Singles In. Had a lot of fun with PP (you can see the different WB I tried, black and white vs natural light, vs auto levels etc) and am impressed with the sharpness on the embossed details.

CIF, thanks for hosting, and I continue to enjoy-well be envious of your snow shots. That hotel shot is stunning. So to get some revenge back at you, I'm posting some sunsets taken from my yard. Have not had a chance to do much clicking, been very busy and had to confine myself to shots at home. Did get a chance to take some pics at a concert at a school though.

Thanks for hosting Cif! I continue to be impressed with the magic you are creating with only the kit lens. We did have some fresh snow overnight so I went out before work this morning to create a couple of Valentine themed shots for fun.

Thanks Wolfiegirl. We are moving into autumn here, and the best sunsets imo are in autumn/winter. Those were tweaked a bit with saturation of course.

Sunday afternoon last week, was out shooting in the cold while the sun was going down, lovely colors!

A few of today's final concert. My eighth graders tie music of protest or injustice with their first major research papers and the musicians run from the Civil War to Motown to Woody Guthrie to Herbie Hancock. All DA 55-300 from back of auditorium except last beneath the stage. Interesting Bass guitar banjo with compensated fretboard.

I wonder if it's the same one from last time. There were 2 again and the smaller one nearly ran into the car - again :ugh:

And then at the neighbour's - a quick snapshot of her two book-end geese. This neighbour doesn't know my penchant for 'togging and I didn't want to look too silly shoving a camera into her geese's face. so despite using the macro lens, the picture isn't as clear/sharp as I'd like it to be.
