Challenge #196 -Through glass.
Posted By: lamented bovine, 02-26-2012, 10:36 PM

Lets get creative and see how we make an interpretation through glass. Smokey, hazy, broken, cracked, colored glass ect. Look for a subject behind the glass that is not clearly defined but can be identified.

Have fun with this!
Shane
This competition is open from now until midnight on Monday March 5, 2012

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread, and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung DSLR) camera will do.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Great topic. Here's a shot taken in a shop in Tallinn showing the old city hall reflected through glass....

Through a glass, darkly

Alzheimer's

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 13:12

Wow, some great shots entered, I am feeling the pressure to produce an equal image to some of these. Great topic, btw.

Though tess has added a quote from the Bible as comment to her photo, let's not be adding texts from the bible in response. Such comments/quotes belong in the P&R Forum.

(I have no problem with the Bible per se, being an active church attender.)

I meant the quote only to add literary and metaphorical depth to the subject of my photo, my grandmother who suffers from Alzheimer's.
I was being metaphorical too, there is no offence intended. I do understand, great gandfather, grandfather, father passed away with desease, seems to follow the males in my family. Anyhow I removed my original quote.
So far looks like I am going to have an extremely hard time judging this challange the quality of work is just amazing so far.

No offence intended either, here Shane, it is just that, as a Moderator I have seen these things snowball into issues bigger than Ben Hur, between believers and others, no offence to any party intended.
