Project 52 - 4 -26 - Landscape - Water
Posted By: photolady95, 03-19-2012, 07:14 AM

Theme for this week. Landscape - Water

Time Frame: pictures for Week 25 are to be taken between March 18 through March 25, 2012.

PROJECT 52 - 4

Following are the Rules and Weekly Projects for year 4. Thanks goes to Dan (DanLoc78) for getting this going, and to Rob (Mithrandir) for hosting year 3.
Between year 2 and 3 there are some weeks without P52. This is just for practical reasons,

Rules :
1. Anyone and everyone who is interested is eligible. The goal continues to be
to have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-4 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
6. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active to be eligible for judging.
7. Any picture taken within the period of P52-4 is acceptable for the two “Seasonal” competitions – Projects 52-3-51 & 52!1

Hey all... this weeks challenge is water, which right now we have plenty of running down from the forests and off the ridges, overflowing the banks of our rivers and lakes!

Water comes in all forms, ... frozen, rushing, falling, still, tide pools, oceanic, and many many colours, places and so on.

The way I would interpret this theme is that some form of water predominates the landscape and thus your image. But, lots of room for creative interpretations!!

Here are two I took yesterday (since I can't submit examples will do!)

okay get out there Pentaxians and show me some WATER!

From this, I would think that water in any form, solid, liquid or vapor is allowed.
It's all in the interpretation.

Water...

Hello all!

I hope that I have done this correctly!

When I saw that this week's challenge was "water", I knew that I would attempt to post something.
This motivated me to register and brave displaying one of my photos amongst so many talented photographers!

The reason why I snapped this pics was because I was so astounded at the sailboat's attempt to enter the ocean.
The bar is out of sight and to the left of boat. Apparently, the water was much more calm that the waves coming ashore.
The turbulence in the forefront of the shot in contrast with the soft mist and the gliding (?) sailboat made for a very satisfying photo for me. I did adjust the exposure and had to remove a few dust specs from the frames.

Happy to be here in the Pentax forums! I love my Pentax!

I was hoping today would offer lighting more conducive to water themed landscape photography but it is exceptionally dreary outside so this effort from yesterday will have to suffice.
