As per the title, this time we cover 12th to 26th of May.

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

Photolady : That water drop shot is just fantastic and the blue flower is great. Brilliant colour.
Pentaximus : what a beautiful place that is. Excellent colours, it looks so relaxing. The bird shot is brilliantly captured.
Ruggiex : A real fun shot, good for a chuckle.
SpecialK: A brilliant butterfly/beetle exhibition, well photographed. I like your portrait shot of the young lady, very well taken.
Lukulele: Excellent shots, my pick is the tree skeleton shot. Love that one.
RM Barker: Gorgeous Iris, a most spectacular bloom.

Thanks for hosting Bruce, & it looks like a great start to the week. I had to do some "antique" repair when I found out I had a frozen platter on my ancient BIC 940 turntable. (you know - a record player!) Nothing as elaborate as some of John's work posted here recently, but it kept me busy for a few days. I bought this turntable new in 1976 & it's been dead reliable until just last week. It's been in storage for about 5 yrs or so, and the bearings in the spindle had frozen up, not allowing the platter to spin!

It took about 4 days of repeated shots of WD-40 down the spindle to loosen the platter so I could finally pull it off...


The filthy exposed turntable showing the spindle shaft & belt drive. I replaced the original belt about 7 yrs ago.


Back in business after removing & cleaning the bearings, lubing & reassembling Now I can finally hear my Beach Boys thrift store find! Just have to get into the garage and dig out my record collection - vinyl is cool!
