Weekly Challenge 210 - Center It!
Posted By: casil403, 06-24-2012, 03:17 PM

Welcome to another installment of the PF Weekly Challenge. Thanks to Daacon for hosting and judging last week.

This week's topic is Center It!
I would like to see photos with the main subject in dead center that breaks the rule of thirds and is very pleasing to the eye as far as composition goes.
Challenge ends Saturday June 30 at t2:00 PM GMT-7 (MST) .
Have fun!!!

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread. If it's no obvious, explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge closes after 7 days, then allows for a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung DSLR) camera will do.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, the winner will PM the #2 winner and pass the baton to that person to be the judge.

Previous 10 Challenge Subjects: 199-From Front On, 200-Point, 201-Signs, 202-Band Names, 203 - Two of a Kind, 204 - Beyond the Beauty Strip, 205 - Color Monochromes, 206 - Electricity, 207-Stop Action, 208-The path of water, 209 - Song Lyrics

I centre a lot of shots inadvertently but in this case with the fish eye it was entirely by design. (I imagine you will recognize this location, Lisa.)

Taken handheld on a London Underground escalator. My K-m does not handle high ISO that well and 800 is on the limit :-).
Some play with colours in PP (hope this is allowed).

Great topic Lisa. Just so happens that I have more than a few "centered" shots. Being somewhat of an iconoclast I have the tendency of going against "general wisdom" on principle. This is one of my favorite 'centered' shots.
