Welcome to another installment of the PF Weekly Challenge!

This week’s theme is 'trees'. Yes, not very creative, but trees are one of my favorite photography themes and I know a lot of people share that view. You can open it up to interpretation as well... phone tree, anyone? Tree of life? Family tree? Lots of possibilities.

Challenge ends Sunday July 15th at midnight PST.

Have fun and make my job judging really difficult!

The fine print....
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread. If it's no obvious, explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge closes after 7 days, then allows for a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung DSLR) camera will do.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, the winner will PM the #2 winner and pass the baton to that person to be the judge.

A similar image (but with more of the reddish leaves on the tree at left) from the same photo session in a backyard is my computer wallpaper. This one, however, has a falling leaf against the tree trunk in the foreground.

My original degree was in forestry, and I'm still a "tree hugger" I must have a few hundred shots of trees; winter trees, spring trees, flowering trees, snow covered trees, autumnal trees, you name it. However this is still one of my favorites. European Alder taken one earlly sping day back in 2007
