Project 52 - 4 - Weeks 51 and 52 Subject - Clouds
Posted By: photolady95, 10-16-2012, 03:48 AM

Theme for this weeks 51 and 52 - Subject - Clouds

Time Frame: pictures for Weeks 51 and 52 are to be taken between October 14, through November 4 , 2012.

PROJECT 52 - 4

Following are the Rules and Weekly Projects for year 4.
Thanks goes to Dan (DanLoc78) for getting this going, and to Rob (Mithrandir) for hosting year 3.

Rules :
1. Anyone and everyone who is interested is eligible. The goal continues to be
to have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-4 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
6. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active to be eligible for judging.
7. Any picture taken within the period of P52-4 is acceptable for the two “Seasonal” competitions – Projects 52-3-51 & 52!1

Have'nt really found anything suitable-its been raining and overcast for much of the week, floods in some places in our country, hail stones causing a lot of accidents and chaos on the roads. The one day that there some clouds I grabbed the camera and took some shots. Not what I wanted, but its the only thing I got. More like an abstract rather than clouds

If the snow (yes snow) stops and the skies begin to clear I may have a suitable cloud shot to enter. It has been like this for over a week.

Well, you have until November 4, Joe.

tsakatsaka contacted me since he's judging this one and wants to let this one run until the next weekend. I agreed.

After that, since I can't con anyone else into taking over for me, the Project 52 will go away.

Your snow has been our rain - lots of clouds, but all just grey.

Sunset at the top of the hill

Ran out of the house trying to find things to shoot at the "magic hour," the colorful sunset and clouds caught my eye. This shot was taken at the brow of the hill near my home. It was colorful this particular evening. Comparing the quality of my photo, now that it is posted, it seems to be lacking. It probably would have been better to have used a tripod, although since I have learned a technique for steading the camera - press the camera against your nose. I also just realized my pixel quality has been at three not four, would more pixels make a difference for this picture? I'm somewhat new, have been taking pics for eight months.

We have had a run of grey skies so I am glad this challenge was extended. I finally had an opportunity today as we are experiencing the edge-effects of Sandy.

Halloween Dawn. This is the view looking directly east as I entered my classroom.
