Welcome to the Picture of the Week #238. Big thanks to pentaximus for hosting the previous POTW.

This week covers 28 October to 11 November, 2012. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

Thanks pentaximus. I didn't know what PP meant until I relaized today: Post Production. heh, new to online photo sharing. I captured the tree inside the camera only using digital filters - not sure if that still means PP or not - does it?

Ha! Sorry 'bout that! Yeah, I suppose the use of in camera filters counts as postproduction. I usually shoot RAW and make any edits in software, so I forget about the filters in camera.

Now that's funny, Noel. I picture ME going to the pet shop to shoot some exotic animals, but I picture YOU going to Kruger! I guess we'll settle for some pet shop pics this time!

ha ha. Was actually at the Chinese Festival (to capture some dragons etc) except I got there late, so settled for some other dragons instead.

Many thanks for hosting again, pentaximus. Some very atmospheric shots this week as the weather turns in all directions. Some of the images such as the steam train and the rainbow are completely sensational. A few from me over the past few days: K-01 and smc-A 50mm f1.4 or DA 40mm. The last three are all looking towards the City of London from near London Bridge on the south bank of the Thames.
