I knew I was going to have a problem judging this after a couple of days and seeing the variety of photos. There are numerous ways of trying to capture the sense of motion in a still photo and the various techniques are worthy of a challenge themselves. There were good examples of long exposures, slow shutter speeds, flash techniques, panning and shooting from moving vehicles. Donovan sang in the 60's about trying to catch the wind, and a few shots proved that it can be done. Choosing a winner wasn't easy and as is usually the case, very subjective. I narrowed it down to a few I liked the best.
Third place: Alamo5000 - The windfarm at the break of dawn is stunning. The company running that should buy that photo for the cover of their annual report or their ads.
Second place : Davidw0815 - A fantastic example of star trails with a single star in the center. I think we all could use a lesson on how you pulled that off.
The WInner! : Pentaximus - An awesome capture of the start of a race. I feel like I was there in the middle. A shot I would expect to find in Sports Illustrated. Well done!
That's it. Thanks to all who joined in. They were all excellent photos and it was a very difficult task to try and choose this time.
