"POTW #240 November 11 - November 25"
Posted By: Nick Nero, 11-17-2012, 03:50 PM

Welcome to the Picture of the Week #240. Big thanks to Paul for hosting and to all for an exceptional POTW #239. Letīs see if we top that over the coming days. Could be a challenge in its own

This week covers 11 November to 25 November, 2012. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

Here are the links to previous POTW threads:

The sky is really amazing in this images. Great work!

Thanks for hosting this week's POTW, Nick Nero.

This sunday I went out to the Schwenninger Moos, a moor in the Black Forest:
Top and bottom picīs are hauntingly beautiful. Impressive (as always) // Nick

Finally pulled my camera back out after a couple of months. I got lucky with my job location last week and I think I got some good ones. Saw a Golden Eagle AND had my camera handy, I was pretty jazzed about it haha.
I must say I keep coming back to your first and the two last picīs. Donīt put the camera down again. // Nick

Thanks for hosting Nick. This has been a real busy couple of weeks, I've been finishing up a ceiling remodeling of three rooms. I signed up for Single in November so most of my limited photography time has been with the Kiron 28/2 MF lens. This first one was from very early yesterday morning on my way to work. This is a chemical plant, part of the refinery complex in Lima, Ohio.

This is a former hotel along the former Pennsylvania Railroad in Delphos, Ohio. This the Chicago-New York line that the Broadway Limited ran on.

This is a little store a block from my house, taken while walking the dogs

This is an old falling down house in a cornfield a few miles out of town.

Just had to mention how absolutely stunning this week's photos are. Thanks for hosting Nick and thanks to all for posting. I really enjoy the creativity that comes with these photographs. Some of them are simply breathtaking and not only show off our Pentax equipment, but even more importantly the amazing talents of our members!

Yep, agreed, some stunning photos in this POTW. David-you are fast becoming a misty photographer of note here. Oops maybe I should rephrase that-misty photographs are superb as usual. I like!
Thanks for hosting Nick. Some from my absent-minded attempts at some photos-Have (and still having) a very busy week.

This from a war Memorial which I arrived at after closing time. Commemorating the Anglo Boer War.

Liked the wat the light fell on these leaves in a pond.

This one I entitled "Potential is everything".

And another one of those "fly and photographer" shots.

Brilliant shots all around!

I often lurk here but seldom get around to posting anything. But it's been a while since I had the DA 15 on a camera and thought I would share a couple from last week.

Thanks very much, Noel. Mist is great, but it's not like I have a choice here. Here at the Lake Constance it's fog season from October to March. I just trying to make the best of it ;-)

Yesterday night I finished processing the images from my little trip to the moor:

Btw, great series, Noel. Especially like the third one. What is this thing? It kind of reminds me of a light bulb.

Thanks David- 3rd one is a fig-still growing on a tree. That is the angle of it the tree too, a bit obscured, but I liked the way the light caught it in between the leaves and branches. Its a bit out of focus but the camera "hunted" quite a bit with the focus. I should have gone manual. The last photo is a light bulb.
More fab stuff from you. That last one is just super duper.
