"POTW #240 November 11 - November 25"
Posted By: Nick Nero, 11-17-2012, 03:50 PM

Welcome to the Picture of the Week #240. Big thanks to Paul for hosting and to all for an exceptional POTW #239. Let´s see if we top that over the coming days. Could be a challenge in its own

This week covers 11 November to 25 November, 2012. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

Here are the links to previous POTW threads:

You have any full frame shots of that church, Arnold? Dying to see the full exterior. // Nick
I only had my 50mm f1.8 lens and being in the city it was awkward to get the complete church in. I was using old 200ASA Fuji and inside shots were hand held wide open at very low 1/4sec speeds. Here is some more of the detail:

Love how the ACC teams feast on Division 333 teams before January.
Good Luck this year!
Tech has played more like one of those teams than an ACC team of late. Last year was especially rough with no home court. They played "home" games at Philips Arena and 30 minutes away in Gwinnett. Expecting better things this year.

Finally pulled my camera back out after a couple of months. I got lucky with my job location last week and I think I got some good ones. Saw a Golden Eagle AND had my camera handy, I was pretty jazzed about it haha.

Guess we´ll just have to imagine it then. Looking at the interior shots I have to say you got a steady hand. Thanks for sharing // Nick

Sunday night the village church where my daughter, her husband and two dogs live was just too invitingly lit up to resist. Just had to take a couple of shots at it.

All good, but I really like the last one with the cattle.

Nice shot Glenn, I guess that is actually a new building since it looks so perfect, nice job to make an old looking photo.

A Portion of the Polly Ann Power Trail

This is a portion of the 14.2 mile long Oakland County Michigan Polly Ann Trail in late Fall. This is just north of Oxford, Michigan.

glenn: "power trail"? It looks like an unpaved road, wide enough to drive on - nice shot.

Here's a couple more from my hike in the woods:

The name "power trail" comes from the fact that major electrical lines parallel the majority of the trail. You know those gigantic steel structures that look they escaped from a transformer movie! You just can't see them in the photos I post.

On the way to a early morning parent conference this started on the horizon and began to explode. Seems like sunrises have been stunning this time of year.
