"POTW #241 November 18 - December 2" Welcome to the Picture of the Week #241. Big thanks to Nick Nero for hosting and to all for an exceptional POTW #240. Let´s see if we top that over the coming days. Could be a challenge in its own

This week covers 18 November to Dec 2, 2012. That lets you show off any shots you took last week but haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

POTW is a great place to show what you've been shooting day-to-day. We can share ideas, learn from one another, and have a good time.

Again same rules as always:

1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.

2) Lets keep it to fewer than 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

Let me start this week off with the "brand new" SV Pentax I bought. This is my first roll through it. Using a 135mm f3.5 lens, there is one close, one medium and one distance shot. I love this little camera; it oozes quality. They could do with some PP, but it is a start.

Photographed this barn a short distance from the Oakland County Michigan Polly Ann Power Trail near Leonard. It was a cold sleeting day and the image was just screaming for a B&W conversion.

Both nice, but the b/w is excellent (imo)! The clouds look much more menacing too...

Yep, my thoughts exactly Paul. It snowed here in SE Michigan while I was out on the trail today. It 'felt' very menacing too!

Both are good pictures and I can't choose between them. The thing is we have summer rains, so clouds are associated with warm weather for me. If the sky had been an even grey overcast that illusion would would not be so strong for me. Great pictures but I was addressing your reason for going B & W and how it played elsewhere..
