I am so sorry for the delay in judging this. I really enjoyed everyone's images very much, but with a brevity of time just a few comments and I would like to announce the winner.
Bruce: Your image is lovely and high key with that innocent white background and white flowering chives. The flies add a dramatic twist! I would crop out the bottom right OOF flowers.
Tamia: I love ice caves. Did you have to lie on you belly to shoot this? Wonderful shot with a natural high key quality about it, but generally speaking high key is free of dark or shadowy areas.
Tom: great shot of a winter storm and another use of natural means to achieve a high key effect.... you could have blasted the snow further to blow out the grey/blue hue and have the detail of the corn stalks and barn define the image even more. But I still like this a lot as it is a great composition and interesting subject.
Russell: you nailed high key both technically and artistically. A gorgeous rose wherein its most tender detail appear in the highlights.
Joe: I love the simplicity of your image. Snow makes a great high key background and you took it to its max without losing detail.
Noel: Awesome image and I think the exposure almost works for a high key shot as there is a homogeneity to the lighting, and soft pastel colours....but there still seems to be quite a lot of contrast.
Runner up --- Tom --- Barn in a snowstorm
Winner --- Russell --- A perfect Rose
Russell, you will be judging this weeks "low Key" challenge. Thanks to everyone for entering.
