P52-5-18 Composition — Delayed Attention
Posted By: Tsukiouji, 04-14-2013, 02:04 PM

Curves and triangles, as we have seen, can really help to create a stunning images. This week's theme is somehow relative to this very purpose too, but digs more deeper into viewers perception.
Please, take a look: How to Engage Your Viewers by Creating a Moment of Discovery (while some examples there may not be the best ones, the whole idea, as for me, is captured quite well).

(Photos for the Week #18 competition are to be taken between Apr 15, 2013 and Apr 21, 2013.)

Rules
1. Anyone and everyone who is interested in eligible. The goal continues to be
have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-5 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. Since this project is about technique, and not camera, shots taken by non Pentax cameras are allowed.
Cameras may be SLRs, DSLRs, Point & Shoot, Medium Format, et cetera.
6. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
7. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active to be eligible for judging.
8. Any picture taken from thread start date to listed closing date is acceptable.

Hidden in Plain Sight Just happened on this shot when walking in a park this week. I think it fits the bill here.

No problem with an extension- I may get something else, but for now this is my entry- in a week that had more limitations than anything else.

I have been working on this and I have a couple of shots I might use from the week. An extension will give me more time to decide and maybe come up with something I actually like. But it is up to you......

I would also welcome an extension. We have had another blast of winter this weekend and I just can't get inspired about going out to take photos.

I am must profess my uncertainty with this week's topic/theme/subject. Looked around for other references but found nothing that clicked in my brain. Maybe it is all about a "Wow" moment. Anyways here is my best effort to fit what I think this week's topic is all about. And thanks for the extension. Great topic. Made me think differently and that is always a good thing.

What must have looked like a good idea to an overly ambitious beaver...
