Here I am, hosting once again. This time everybody I asked to take the reigns were unable to do so. Hopefully I'll have more luck next week. Like last week I'm here in the Yosemite Valley sans computer, transmitting off of stolen wifi. Also like last week all of my pics are processed in camera. This one, of a Sequoia, one of my bracketed shots that I unfortunately was unable to HDR because the lack of PP software availability.

Hey, @hoopsontoast, we are from the same part of the world. Looks like you've had a great time by the sea.

So many enjoyable photographs in this thread. Good to see the sqwerl situation is under control, @jbsg02. The first shot suggests they've gone for unconditional surrender, though the second (a real cracker) suggests it may have been a ruse and the hordes are still up for mayhem. The ones here aren't so richly coloured, more white than golden-brown underneath. They are starting to bounce around on the lawns checking out the nut stashes - autumn is coming.

A set of triplets working over a local nature preserve ground littered with Mike's Hard Lemonade/bottle and today's visitor to some of our spring sunflower birdseed that blossomed this weekend. K-01/K-7

Been trying to get a few shots with a Makinon 135mm K mount I've had for a long time but never used much. The base is wobbly and I've never been able to get it tight enough, it's a little iffy but if I'm careful I can get a good shot now and then.

This skink is very skittish, I get lucky now and then but usually soon as it sees me it's long gone. This was taken about 5 feet away, I sat there and waited, no telling where it would go next but I got lucky and it headed into an open spot and stayed there till it realized I was around...ZIP...



Bats...toughest little critters to shoot I've ever seen...it's almost dark, high ISO, they move fast and extremely erratic, I'm lucky to even keep one in the viewfinder long enough to snap off a shot, much less get perfect focus...so this is a bit out of focus but one of the best I've managed so far. Same lens, ISO800 and flash at max power. I'm hoping to get some better shots but for now this is one of the best so far.



I always like shooting jumping spiders and this little guy decided to take over my mouse yesterday while I was poking around on here...A series 50mm and extension tube, natural light hand held.

I started a new job in Munich this month. So far it's a quite busy time for me, but last Thursday I managed to go on a little photo tour to the grounds of the Olympic Summer Games of 1972. I started at the abandoned Olympia train station:

Thanks geomez, there are terrific pictures here. Mine is taken with a 1958 Retinette 11B, a simple viewfinder camera. This is a view of my water tank; all my water supply comes off my roof.
