hhay's entry shows more about the mind than the hands. It blew my mind - and nothing usually affects my thick skull.

Very, very, upsetting.

The 13-year-old I share my life with can do the same thing. But worse she does this sort of wavy motion thing where her fingers go up and down in the most unnatural ways. Since a still cannot capture that I have the following exercise in abstraction.

No special processing was done on this beyond my usual workflow except to do the double exposure. Everything else in-camera as a result of experimenting with odd lighting setups. And yes they are my hands so don't ask how I was also taking the picture and manually triggering a flash.

This certainly tells you something about me! :-)

this image was shot last year and is an excerpted page from a book i had printed for a friend last Christmas, who cares for his dad who is subcumbing to alzheimers, and rapidly losing his connection to the real world. The man is putting out a cigarette, the last remaining ' right' and pleasure........

You are correct, it is really about sharing. Since I joined this forum I have tried my best to do that, since I have had so much help it's nice to give something back. So I came up with something for the contest -- thanks for noticing and for your comment!
