Welcome to another round of Picture of the Week. This is edition #298 covers 13th January 2013 - 26th January 2014.

Thanks mattb123 for the invite to host this week! Sorry if this is a little late for our Australian contingent, but it's still 5pm my time. What have I been doing all day, you ask?

We took the dog for a walk in my favorite place in Kansas City... Parkville. I took the trains picture, and he blew his horn. Win!




Parkville is home to Park University, a small college, but a very good one... and nice to look at.




Next, we took Wesley to the dog park, where he ran crazy.




I thought his tongue was going to fall of his head for a while, there.

The dog park was busier than I've ever seen. Probably should have expected this on a 50 degree (F) day in January. Normal temps here are probably in the mid-20s (F).







There you go... I had my reasons. I'll try and be more prompt next time.

BTW: All photos were taken with a K30 and M135. That's gonna be my theme this week... M135.

Thanks for hosting JCD. Yesterday was beautifully warm here especially compared to the brutal deep freeze we've experienced over the past few months. This was my first outing with my camera in 2014. I took the handy little MX-1 along.

Thanks, jcdoss. It's a m42 lens that I picked up in a lens/camera lot. I haven't seen it listed in the forum reviews, but you can find a number of them on ebay. I think I read somewhere that it's a rebadged Pentacon. Or specifically the Pentacon is a rebadged Meyer.

Yep, better than any dog will ever be. I've seen dogs lying around SLEEPING...while the ducks and geese were raising holy hell...and mean too. COme in his yard, you're bit...

OK and a couple of warm days, flower start blooming...

Speedwell. Look at the O or Q key on your keyboard, this flower would almost fit inside the letter silk screened on there. It's that small...less than 1/8 inch across.
