#273: Work
Posted By: rbefly, 01-22-2014, 09:33 AM

Hello everyone,
Thanks to Keith for last weeks' challenge 'Speed or Motion' , that was a fun subject. Congratulations to all the entrants for the great photos, too.
This week's subject is 'Work' as in, a productive activity. More of a street or candid view of any type of labor, effort or task, whether paid or volunteer.
Any of the day-to-day tasks that make the world go around, from delivering the donuts to the night watchman. Man, woman or child, anyone making an effort to keep everyone safe, happy and useful.
As usual, be creative, tell a story, have fun!
Ron

The rules;
This challenge will run until Thursday, 30 January, midnight PST.

The fine print:
1. Post one photo (max 1024 X 1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single photo in this thread. If it's not obvious, explain what motivated you to submit the photo and how you feel it represents the weekly theme.
4.The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5.The judge will pick the winner, who will then host and judge the next week's challenge.
6.The challenge closes after seven days. This allows a day for the judge to pick the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung) DSLR is acceptable.
8. Photos can be from any time frame, not just the week of the current challenge.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge of the next week's challenge, the winner will PM the #2 winner and pass on the baton to that person to host and judge the next week's challenge.

Thanks for posting the very good photos.
Although this guitarist is playing, he's also working.

Nothing fancy from this week, but caught these two. Would've been great to be on their left to see the ferry dock as we came into it, but route was blocked. Oh well… Thank you for the themed challenges.

rbefly, I pity you for having to judge this, there are some real interesting photos here, well done all, and you still have 4 days to go.

Cutting up an obsolete part with a blowtorch that otherwise doesn`t fit through the deckhatch. (This is the drum of a pneumatic coupling, which is part of a 10 tonnes gearbox from a ship that me and my collegues overhauled in Egypt with Xmas 2012, a 4 week job)
