POTW # 302 09 February 2014 to 23 February 2014

Welcome to another round of Picture of the Week. This is edition #302 covers 2nd February 2014 - 16th February 2014.

POTW is a great spot to show off any shots you take in the upcoming week, or last week that you haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

Some rules:
1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.
2) 6 or less images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big.
3) Any Pentax or Samsung camera, film or digital.

The current host will invite a new host via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

Thanks for hosting Noel.
Finally found the hawk I've been bending my neck for on our long "grocery hike" Saturday. This Red Shouldered Hawk looked like a rectangular old Voit basketball from a distance and just casually sized us up as we passed. On the return Woody was coming out of a rather large hole above the greenway.

This is what the lake looked like yesterday morning

Had a short road trip in the works, all the fog pictures made it just a little longer...lol...

Bridge over Lake Sam Rayburn. Usually there's plenty to look at...

A few miles down the road the fog had started to lift in places..

Bridge over Toledo Bend looking back toward Texas Again you can usually see the other side...

From a spot close by a few Pelicans were swimming in

Unfortunately someone in a pontoon boat decided that would be a perfect time to cruise by, they would have been closer in a few minutes...

Whoa, some awesome stuff around here.
Tom, wonderful architecture set, but that middle one, road traffic jam is superb. Man, I can feel that anxiety of peak traffic. But that fellow looking fro above make it even more special.
Lukelele, nice catch on both the birds. Always appreciate seeing them.
SpecialK-Another fine Museum set from you. mmmm. they are so interesting! Just love the composition on the 2nd one. A real sense of space there. And as for that cutie pie in the last one-that pink head. Family or capture a strangers street style?
Dave, that 2nd one is delectable-my kind of place. A house set in the midst of mountains and streams. And it looks like it s quite a walk to get there from the car.
Paleo Pete- Wow, those misty shots are fantastic. Me thinks even Mr Misty- that's Tom-aka Ramseybuckeye, will approve of those. Can't decide which I like best-but probably the Bridge over Toledo Bend. Beautiful! The first Pelican shot is also lovely! Love that reflections!

Ok Pentaxians- lets have some more!

Thanks a lot Noel, and thanks for hosting by the way. I'm always into a few fog shots, glad you liked these. I was so disappointed when a boat spooked the Pelicans, they were headed into a small cove and would have been back by for some more shots in 20 minutes tops, hopefully closer...unfortunately not to be and on the return trip the fog was long gone. The reflections was probably the best thing about that particular shot...

I was very busy with the camera last week. Big event number one was my youngest daughters wedding on Friday. The original plan was an outdoor wedding on Valentines Day in Saratoga Springs, NY. An 18 inch snowfall the night before made things interesting as the gazebo in the park we had planned to use didn't have a clear path. As it turned out, the museum in the Canfield Casino was open and since they didn't have a customer all day, they invited us inside for the ceremony which was certainly easier than shoveling a path to our original location.

Some outside shots. We did a walk through downtown Saratoga before the reception.
