[/COLOR]Well, I volunteered to host this week, as I finally have a series that isn't family or foster dog related. I spent a couple of days last week in Grand Haven, Michigan on business. Luckily, I had some time for shooting after work. Grand Haven is located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Grand River. Here are few shots where the river meets the lake.

From the marina just behind my hotel.

The mouth of the Grand River during the golden hour.

The automatic light house taken from the end of the jetty.

The view as I walked back towards the beach (I always remind myself to look behind me).

After the sun set.

Tim

Thanks for hosting......

Went for a walk on Anglesey yesterday...

It was cold, and rained most of the day, but just before sunset it cleared:

Great shot Dave. Those were the kind of clouds I was hoping to shoot but they cleared out before sunset.

Thanks for hosting Tim. I have not spent much time with my camera so far this year. Today I was looking for birds for the P52 challenge but didn't see any until I was home. These were taken through a window in need of spring cleaning, should spring ever come.

Exceptional detail in those shots Joe. The only birds I've ever shot were through my mom's front window this past December.

There was a super-thin blanket of snow on the ground when I woke up today, but nothing like you guys got. I took the dog to Smithville Lake north of KC and got this shot of the marina. The M50 Macro never ceases to amaze me!

Tim, thanks for hosting, and that's a great set of images to start off the week. It's nice that you have to go somewhere for work, and there is actually photoops. Looks like you made the most of your time!

Joe, those are really nice, the sparrows look special on those snowy branches.

Certainly is nice and sharp. It will be nice when all of those boats are out on the open water.

I love that silhouette Steven, that's really creative to get that sun through the locomotive, that took some planning! Well done!

I didn't get out much this last week until Friday night and a little today, heres some from today:

No boats in the water at the marina I visited. Too much ice floating around. The blue sail covers offer a nice focal point in the image.

Stephen, that is one of those once in a lifetime shots. You'll have difficulty trying to capture anything like it again. Very nice.

Tom, where did you find an eagle to photograph in Ohio? I love the detail visible from the light coming through the feathers.

Yeah, Tom, I was wondering that too. Surprisingly, there's no shortage of them here in KC. They've moved on now, but a month ago they congregated in fairly high numbers near the Missouri River. I called it Eaglepalooza.

Thanks for hosting Tim. What a great set of opening shots there, and from everyone else. An eclectic mix from me.
Westbury, where the largest proportion of my congregation come from.

Some quacks that I am keeping an eye on-sort of. Original batch was 7, there are now only 5.

Crimson Speckled Moth I believe

I'm intrigued by the moth picture. I've never seen that particular species before.
