Welcome to another round of Picture of the Week. This is edition, #308, covers 24March - 06April2014 . POTW is a great spot to show off any shots you take in the upcoming week, or last week that you haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

Moe has always had an Eeyore complex. He generally walks slowly around the house with his head down. Unless of course he sees you go into the pantry where the dog treats are stored.

My beloved Bess left for Doggie Heaven on Thursday. This was the last photo I took of her (just a month ago). RIP Bess.

My condolences. It is hard when we have to say goodbye to a family member.

Moving on, I haven't been out and about with the camera (recovering from a operation). Shot these at home yesterday, all natural light.

She has the most captivating eyes I have seen in a long time. Very nice images.

I'll throw in a three-in-one - a three frame exposure bracket tonemapped into one and converted to B&W (phew!). I love how the K-5 allows you to get handheld brackets so easily.

One thing I did learn is that the 21 Ltd is not quite as flare resistant as the 15 Ltd (but that one is close to immune!). It's still good, though.

I was happy for weather sealing last night in this dust storm. I went out to shoot the unusual color and got blown around by 50 Mph gusts and sand blasted. Looks like Utah dirt to me.
I was wishing I had a wider lens on the camera but there was no way I was going to swap lenses out in this, it was really intense. I had to dig my bike out from under the tubleweeds this morning.

Ah, yes, the starry flare is there on purpose. But there's some "rogue" colour flare too (not very visible in B&W, though). The DA 15 would most likely not have suffered those - but would probably have had an even more defined star.

Not complaining or anything - I'm getting to like the tiny 21 a lot

I took this one last week for the "Garden Life" challenge but it didn't quite fit the theme as well as I thought it would. Also, it's not the best picture technically. But I keep going back to it. I guess it's just a "feel good" kind of pic
