Kim has asked me to be the host this week . So here we go with my copy & paste job :

1) No theme just your favourite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days April 28th to May 4th
5)Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Next Sunday I'll pick a host for the next week from the entries

My open contribution .

Unseen Beauty

By focusing on the flower instead of the lady , I think I actually make the woman looks more beautiful ! It may not work for everybody but for her it did !

Nice start dantuyhoa I agree the OOF lady works for me. Here are few from yesterday - Bigma in hand.

OOF I know but I still like it. I was trying to sneak up on him. The geese here can be approached but the ducks scare easy.

This particular pond is still moslty frozen, but should all be open water in a few days. Looks like she found a nest is my guess.

Will sping finally get here ? This little fellow hopes so. They have had a rough couple of weeks !

All with the Vivitar 100mm macro, which now seems to live on my camera. How nice it is that spring has finally sprung!

It'll be nice to see some flowers here someday...
I've been trying my hand at chasing birds. It's much tougher than it seems. I wish they would pose and stand still longer.

All with the FA*300mm f4.5 and AF1.7TC

I can definitely see a Sigma 500mm f4.5 coming in the future. Time to start saving more pennies.

rparmar - nice series I particularly like the fist and the last one. Spring is indeed in full swing

Peter - Those are some nice captures. I like the first one the best. As for chasing birds , tell me about it. The birds (other than Geese and Gulls) can hear / see me comming a mile away. Trying to capture their escape with the Bigma well that does not happen too oftern ! I always had a appreciation for the birders on the forum, even more so now.

@daacon
Thanks! The first one was taken at the local Saturday market and is maybe olives? I don't know! The last one looks like a studio shot, but once I tweaked the colours that is how the background came out... nice and blue. The flower is in our front garden.

@Finn
Amazing rendering... my FA 77 is on its way and I cannot wait! Lovely images of a beautiful child... who is going to have quite the documented life!

Yes, summer is approaching, we have

birds..

..fishermen..

and one Pentax user:

We were walking the same shore, but I realized only at home from my pictures, that he was shooting with a Pentax. Regret that I did not talk to him, but I am so accustomed to see only canikon shooters with their big and heavy tele lenses, that it never occurred to me to make acquaintance with this fellow... (If you are in this forum, pm me, I'll have some nice shots you are in..)

I didn't get to "come out and play" much, but managed to stop by the river before going to work. Here are few:

And not "exactly" from the same series, but love me some of this in the morning:

D

Whoa ! Great stuffs guys !

Dave : Thanks . And thanks God for the instant feedback of the digital camera . Otherwise she would not believe me when I told her I'm focusing on the flower !

Glad to see no snow in your shots ! I like last two photos and how the branches actually frame the bird .

rparmar : I like the second one . I'm a bokek nut !

Peter : The last one is my fav . It's a great lens combo you got there .

Finn : you make me drool . LTD lens is on my wish list for so long . I opted for the DA* 50-135 because of its range and seals . Your kid is getting big and handsome . Though I like that second shot . Kinda remind me of that Italian pasta place .

gawan : last shot is cool ! I haven't met a Pentax user in person yet . That looks like some new DA lens to me .

Duh_Vinci : Nice birding shots , though I'm partial to that coffee image myself .

Pooky125 : Very sharp and detailed image .
