Tran (dantuyhoa) has asked me to be the host the coming week. It is already Sunday evening here, so here we go:

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favourite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days May 5th to May 11th
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

I would like to recommend using pictures not older than one week at the time you post, so this will keep the two weeks total time span but as the week passes the posted pictures will be current for a running week span...

Next Sunday I'll pick a host for the next week from the entries.

The past few weeks I have spent following my daughter's crew team around and shooting hundreds of pictures, mostly of the boats on the water and race shots but this one of her rigging her boat is a little different.
And I would be expelled from the crew dads fraternity if I didn't post the second one . Both of these are pretty much as they came out of the camera, just tweaked the fill light a little in Picasa.

Part of a sculpture

This one was taken last week. Another take on my 15 year anniversary roses. Used PS to modify the picture to add a heavy Gausean blur to the background. It kind of softened the look around the petals on that edge. Let me know what you think about this effect. Too heavy handed? Thanks...



BTW, taken with an FA 28-105mm, which turns out to have a pretty decent close-focus capability.

That girl, in fact, gave me a dirty look when I snapped that shot while drinking some lemon bitter. This is my retreat on weekend to relax, sitting by the seaside getting some sun exposure to stablise my mood from the preceding week.
