PROJECT 52-6-34-FOCUS-In focus.
Posted By: noelcmn, 10-05-2014, 01:58 PM

Welcome to PROJECT 52-6 for the year 2014.

PROJECT 52-6-34-FOCUS-In focus

Images for Project 52-6-34 are to be taken between the 6th October 2014 and 12th October 2014.

Rules
1. Anyone and everyone interested in the challenge is eligible. The goal continues to be
have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques with fellow
Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-6 thread for the week. Explain what
motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color
saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. Since this project is about technique, and not camera, shots taken by non Pentax cameras are allowed.
Cameras may be SLRs, DSLRs, Point & Shoot, Medium Format, et cetera.
6. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post
black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
7. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is
active to be eligible for judging.
8. Any picture taken from thread start date to listed closing date is acceptable. You may request to submit a photo outside of the time frame, but its acceptance is dependent o the judge of the week. Please try and keep to within a day or two (either way 92% the week. This is to make allowances for those that would like to participate, but for one or other reason, are not able to do so during the time given for the challenge, such as illness, weather, travelling etc.
9. The WINNER of each weekly challenge is the JUDGE of the next week's Project 52-6.
10. The Facilitator (in this case noelcmn) may participate in the challenge, provided he/she is not the judge.
11. Closing date for the challenge is Sunday at midnight in your time zone. Late entries are accepted but subject to the acceptance by the current weeks
Judge.

Still on the Focus challenge- this time it's "In focus". That should open up a myriad of possibilities-and what is probably the core of photography. Set the Camera on AV, lens on infinity and off we go. This has not featured much in the Project 52 challenge, probably because most of the other challenges include the idea of focus. There was only one In Focus challenge and the winner-by one of my favorite photographers on the Forum- is a stunner.

There is however another challenge entitled "Deep Focus" which I think refers to the same idea. The brief on that challenge is "shoot photos with everything in focus, from foreground to background". Here are the 2nd and 3rd place winners for that challenges-again stunners to inspire us all.

On another note- we are getting to the end of the year, and Project 52 should come to an end as well. The previous Project 52 challenge ran a few weeks into the new year (for various acceptable reasons) meaning that we will not finish as well in this year. Not unless I cut it short by a few weeks and then start afresh in the new year with Project 52-7. That is what my thinking is, but I am open to suggestions: Please feel free to comment about this here.
1. Keep to the original idea of having 52 challenges.
2. Keep the challenge within a calender year-even if it means less than 52 challenges.

And of course I am looking for a new facilitator for Project 52-7. Please PM me if you willing.

Happy clicking!

I am open to either way.
My year on here on Project 52 ended a while back, but I enjoy it so much that I decided on continuing with it .

But have no objection on the other idea.

Ok, good, I will keep this within a Calender year, which means (I think) that project 52-6 will have about 45 weeks only. I am happy to announce too that we have a new facilitator for Project 52-7 for next year.
Now to go and work on this weeks challenge.

Who is it, or are you purposely keeping us in suspense?

I will start this off (X-posted to B&W thread). I took a few others yesterday and if I like something better I will replace it.
