I was looking the whole day for a good new subject for the weekly challenge. The previous one was "Love" - which is quite difficult to top, because it is the strongest feeling we have When I feel love, I feel ecstatic. I want to show my feelings and forget everything that is going on around me. So the theme for this week will be "ecstatic". It might be the ecstatic fun of these young people on the pic below at a reggae concert, it might be the soccer player cheering after he scored the decisive goal. A happy dog running after its ball maybe sort of ecstatic too. Maybe it is a pretty difficult thing to get on a picture, but that makes it even more challenging. Show me your picture, and show me all the emotions you caught on film

The Challenge will run until midnight next Friday , 7/11/2014, whichever time zone you are in.


Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.

Rules
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung DSLR) camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Final horn at the 2014 Michigan High School Hockey State Championship (Division 1, large schools). It must have made a special moment even more momentous for these young men to bring home the school's first title in four years against the defending two-time champions who defeated them the previous season in a 2-1 nailbiter. These players added their names to the annals of school hockey success, with titles in 1999-2003 (4 of which I was there for!), 2005, 2009, and 2010 (with six additional titles before all that).

Notice the flying equipment in the air. They always say that hockey is a dangerous game.
