2nd place: robjmitchell - You photo is real awesome! Let come back again this week challenge.

This week winner is boozary

Wooha, Thanks again for a sharp and detailed judgment David (scomatic).
I guess having your favorite snack in the shot was a cheat code for me to get the third place over all the great entries of this week.

Congrats to Boozary for such a fantastic black and white shot and winning the challenge. Now you are the judge.
Also congrats to robjmitchell, it was one of the best cat shots I've seen so far. and I'm not a cat lover person at all.

Nice shot of an explosion David.

Boozary, congratulation, that was definitely my pick for the win here. Well done Rob & mtux too. David, great job on the judging, (thorough too!)

As far as the photo shot with the Canon, not bad technically, but the composition does nothing for me.

I think a shorter shutter speed to help keep the stars a bit more round , along with removing the line of light just below the center horizon would help this shot. IMHO.
That said I do like the shot
