Project 52-6-44-OPEN THEME-THE CHOICE IS YOURS
Posted By: noelcmn, 12-14-2014, 01:35 PM

Welcome to PROJECT 52-6 for the year 2014.

PROJECT 52-6-44-Open theme-the choice is yours.

Images for Project 52-6-44 are to be taken between the 15th December 2014 and 21st December 2014.

Rules
1. Anyone and everyone interested in the challenge is eligible. The goal continues to be have fun and share comments, concepts, insights, and techniques
with fellow Pentaxians.
2. Each week will feature a Theme and Sub-concept for you to explore.
3. Post your single picture in Project 52-6 thread for the week. Explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly
theme.
4. Some post-processing is OK (adjusting white balance, exposure, color saturation), but let's try to stay away from heavily PP'ed images here. Try to
keep the creativity to photographic techniques and the captures themselves.
5. Since this project is about technique, and not camera, shots taken by non Pentax cameras are allowed.Cameras may be SLRs, DSLRs, Point & Shoot,
Medium Format, et cetera.
6. There is one “Theme Concept” labeled “black and white,” but feel free to post black and white, sepia, monotone, etc., for any of the other themes.
7. The picture you post should be taken during the week in which the theme is active to be eligible for judging.
8. Any picture taken from thread start date to listed closing date is acceptable. You may request to submit a photo outside of the time frame, but its
acceptance is dependent o the judge of the week. Please try and keep to within a day or two (either way 92% the week. This is to make allowances for
those that would like to participate, but for one or other reason, are not able to do so during the time given for the challenge, such as illness, weather,
travelling etc.
9. The WINNER of each weekly challenge is the JUDGE of the next week's Project 52-6.
10. The Facilitator (in this case noelcmn) may participate in the challenge, provided he/she is not the judge.
11. Closing date for the challenge is Sunday at midnight in your time zone. Late entries are accepted but subject to the acceptance by the current weeks
Judge.

As we wind down Project 52-6 for this year, we will end with two specific themes-this "open" one and "holidays" for the closing challenge. the "open" theme is your opportunity to showcase what you consider your best shot for the week, and allows us all to pursue and display your particular passion in photography-macro, portrait/ B/W, Abstract,. absolutely open, anything goes. There are of course no theme specific photo's that I can use to inspire you this week. Instead. I've chosen a few random images from previous Project 52 challenges. I certainly find them inspiring.

I took this tonight for the 12 days of Christmas, it's kind of odd but I like it. Good thing I have a cat that will pose. He's in the window inside the house, I'm outside and the scrren over the glass gives it that texture.

Snowy Forest

I have been taking a hiatus from photography, but starting to feel the itch again. I took out the Pentax 60 - 250 f4 to take photos of the snowy forest from the top of cliffs. I've been seeing this shot for weeks now as the cliffs are part of my dog walk. It is an almost 6 km. loop and carrying that lens reminded me of just how heavy it is. But, I think it's worth it.

I'll be judging this tomorrow evening my time, so allowances made for a late entry still. I have a busy day ahead, though I had hoped to judge this one in the morning, it will have to wait till evening.

I rarely ask people other than my family if I can take a photo of them. It's something I'm not too comfortable doing, yet. This young lady didn't mind when I asked her if I can take a photo of her.
