Hit me with your best shot, togs

Rules as before:
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday Date> to <Sunday Date>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Previous hosts: 1 Peter Zack, 2 Eaglerapids, 3 rmtagg, 4 Peter Zack, 5 daacon, 6 Bramela, 7 mtnbearhug, 8 dantuyhoa, 9 gawan, 10 roentarre, 11 daacon, 12 Kris

I've only taken about a dozen shots in the last 2 weeks and they're all of Jay

k100d, you make me thirsty!
Anne, Caesar looks like a caesar, thoughtful and wise...
smf, I like th subbleteness of the iris' colours!
Dave, those action pictures are so great catches!
maxwell, love the detail and the deep colour!
Arjay, nice detail and colours!
gpaual, nice series, I like the crowd pic from abowe!

A few day's ago my wife noticed that a bird's nest had appeared in the corner of our balcony. There are three eggs and the mother broods (is this the right word?) them at the moment. I have not dared to disturb her, but I'll try to catch the little ones when the time comes...

Hm, they may look similar but these are eggs of a thrush (hope this is the right name in English?). Here is the male watching and warning near by.

Wow! Lots of nice images being posted on this thread. Hope you like these as much as I enjoyed viewing the previous images. All were taken with the smc PENTAX DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED, a few with a polarizer.

Not sharp but I like it. Female walrus.

Female with young.

Of all the images taken that day, my wife likes this one the most. One of a few from a few thousand images. I guess I'm not much of a photographer in her eyes.

Sandhill Cranes heading NW.

An Ivory Gull.

Another.

And finally, the land of tomorrow. Looking at the Chukotka Mtns? across the International Dateline.

The last two were taken using a polarizing lens.

I think every week we get more great quality photos here Here is something from this mornings early shooting. I just love how the warm morning sun made this rose seem like it was glowing

I am soooooo sorry I wasn't around to finish up the PotW. There's a litteny of excuses from going back to work to a heavy school schedule and upcoming exams. It looks like PotW #12 went along splendidly tho. So many great shots here. You folks continually submit amazing work. A big pat on the back for everyone.............. (cept me )
