Winner #315 "Done"
Posted By: SpecialK, 02-23-2015, 06:50 PM

Well, a very wide-ranging collection on the theme - sunsets, snow, rodents, the return of Wilson, airplanes, agriculture, ruins.

But I have thing for excessive style, and so Tamia's Cadillac tree gets it from me.

Congratulations Tamia, well done! Nice challenge and great pick Kyle! I just noticed something, was that Caddy converted to a truck or something, what are those railings?

Gosh, Kyle, thanks! I didn't think I had a chance. There were SO many good entries for this theme. Thanks for the nod and for the engaging topic. I'll have to give some thought to a topic.

Tom, I have no idea what's up with those railings, which was one of the things that caught my eye with this car in an auto graveyard that had been there so long a forest had grown up around them. You can't beat the older cars for flamboyant style or quality of materials.

Congratulations Tamia!

There were indeed a great variety of good pictures this week. Still, I think your win is well deserved. A once glamorous car, now rusted and overgrown. This just says "done" so clearly :-)

Thank you SpecialK for hosting the challenge. It was an interesting topic which brought some interesting pictures!

Congratulations Tamia, what a fine image that is-holds my attention for a long time-so much to explore there, besides Tom's noted railing. Love that angle too. well deserved winner imho, a fantastic documentary image for the iconic Cadillac. Thanks SpecialK for an challenging subject, and for the judging exercise. What about 2nd and 3rd places- important in the event that our current winner is unable to do duties for the next challenge. Another great challenge with awesome images!

Those railings seems like an adaptation made to use it as a mortuory car (those that carry the flowers on the back of the burial-drive-in). So if this is the case, i guess the photographer chose the object simbolically. Old poor Cadillac... who's to bring flowers to you now?
