Weekly Challenge #8 - Children

Weekly Challenge #8

The 8th weekly based challenge here, for anyone who is interested.

The rules are as follows:

1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post.

2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be color or B&W, your choice.

3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.

4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.

5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.

6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day or so for the judge to choose the winners.

7. Any camera will do but it must be a Pentax.

This week's theme will be "Children"
Be it your own, someone close to you, or challenging yourself to walk around and talk to parents to try something you've never tried before, the theme this week is children. I chose this because starting next Saturday, I will be moving back to Kamloops to return to a career I never should have left in the first place. Childcare. So I'd like to celebrate that by seeing what everyone here can do with these naturally brilliant photography subjects.

The challenge starts now and ends on Sunday, Feb 11th, 9pm Pacific time. Good luck!

Former Challenge Themes have been:
Week 1 - Statue
Week 2 - Wheels
Week 3 - Speed
Week 4 - Peace
Week 5 - Survival
Week 6 - Macro
Week 7 - Mountains

Thank you for the comments. All the posted pictures look good. Kids are one of the best things photograph in my opinion.

My little cousin Milo, sitting in a sunbeam chewing on a stick. Who needs teething rings?

Ben

No, there is nothing wrong with having 18,000 photographs of my son.

There sure isn't anything wrong with that! I must admit I wouldn't even attempt to count the photographs I have of my sons. ;-)

Gazing at the Docks

Caught my son in a fleeting pensive moment as he looked out to the boats on the docks. Oh course he has a stick in his hand. A boy can't take a nature walk without picking one up can they?
