The date for challenge #2 is May 25

The winner for #2 will be picked on Thursday June 19

The winner each week will pick the next date and host the challenge and pick the winner.

Here are the rules which should carry forward from week to week

1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post and can be a digital photo or a scanned photo.
2. The photo must be taken on the date of the challenge and can taken in any year.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The challenge host will pick the WINNERS and and the first place winner will host the next challenge and pick the next date.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.

Well I have shots from 10 different days this may and 25th happens to be the day I have the most from. But then after first time review and deleting over 100 shots I still have 295 left... gonna be hard to pick one..

That makes me feel like I've done my job for at least one person.
I hope lots of folks have images from this day. And the more they have to decide from the better. The toughest part is deciding which one to pick isn't it? It's fun though!

I'm not having much luck with this game so far, nothing again on the given date! And if I go back a year go last May, I was only shooting film, so who knows when a shot was taken. I'll try again next round!

This year on 25.05 I was in Richmond park shooting deer, and last year in gothic church, tough choice, but I will compete in this one for sure, just give me time to choose....

That happens to be a good day for me. Here's a pic of our 'butthole' of a Birman Cat, taken May 25th of this year.

This was taken at a Memorial Day ceremony which took place on the 25th in my town... Formerly known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day was first enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War.

I note that on May 25-26, 1864, the battle of New Hope Church was fought in Paulding County, Georgia. Estimated Casualties: Total unknown: US 1,600; CS unknown. Result(s): Confederate victory.
