#327 People Enjoying Nature
Posted By: tessfully, 06-11-2015, 06:09 AM

Thank you to Dieterson for last weeks wonderful challenge!

This week is a version of imagining human/nature relationships - a topic that can be widely interpreted, but essentially, I am looking for images that reflect people enjoying nature/natural phenomena. My sample images show my bias, but I am open to all creative interpretations.

Enjoy! I am looking forward to your interpretations!!! This challenge will run till Midnight June 17th.

Rules:

1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Photos from any Pentax camera (film, compact, DSLR, etc.) -- or a Samsung DSLR -- are allowed.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Not as high of altitude as Max's image but the hill is much steeper than the fisheye makes it look.

This is a shot of photographer and Internet persona Photo John when I took him for for a little backcountry ski tour last winter.

John was blown away by our BC skiing right outside the town of Crested Butte and said this was the best day of skiing he had all season. It was also a bigger climb than he was used to doing so he was pretty wiped out by the time we summited. This pushed his limits but he kept going and made it. Overcoming a big physical challenge like that makes a good day in the mountains even better. The views weren't bad either!

Wow, some great images so far, I decided to use one I shot last week. This at Pamlico Sound at the Outer Banks, North Carolina, K-50 and DA* 300.

When nature appreciation turns into a mob scene - a marsh near Point Pelee, Ontario during the spring migration.

A view to be remembered

People by the boatload are enjoying the beauty and power of nature just about as close as you can get at Niagara Falls Canada. This place has to be one of top spots anywhere for people to marvel at one of Nature's spectacular vistas. Even one lonely gull is enjoying the scene.--charliezap

"Let Me Take Another Selfie"

Went to Burnaby Mountain Park to test drive my newly acquired legacy glass, the SMCP M 28mm f/3.5, last fall. I couldn't help but notice this selfie-engrossed mother and child taking a stroll and enjoying the fall colours.

People in a city do not see much of the countryside in their everyday life. The more important is it to have little islands of green, a tiny bit of nature brought to the city, where you can relax, calm down and revitalize.

Whenever I have the time I enjoy riding my bike on dirt roads with a bunch of trusty friends.
This photo was taken two days ago in the Fagaras mountains, Romania:
