Weekly Challenge #320 -"Photographers"
Posted By: ramseybuckeye, 07-10-2015, 08:23 PM

Wherever I go I always find myself shooting other photographers, I think I started it because of the "People and their cameras!" thread. Anyway, it's fun and something you can find many places, especially with the high usage of cell phone cameras. So get out there and see what you can do. have fun!

The challenge will close on Friday midnight my time on July 17 - Tom Ramsey

Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week.

Everyone is eligible to send in their best interpretation of the given theme, as long as the photo is taken with a Pentax/Samsung camera. Themes can be subject-oriented or technique-oriented.

Rules
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung DSLR) camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Examples - you know you can do better!

Meet photographer-Greg Mironchuk.

What a great theme for a challenge.

There are photographers and then there are people who take pictures and if you looked up the word photographer a picture of Greg Mironchuk would be there. I've had the pleasure of knowing him for several years now and he is by far the consummate gentleman with a keen sense of humor. He is well known around the Boston area and beyond and I've met him many times here in Saugus Ma.at various town functions and celebrations. He comes prepared with his note book and pen and with his Nikons (please forgive him) dangling around is neck.He is a good sport as the last shot of him will attest and a friend of mine on Face Book.My official entry to the challenge will be the first shot in the series.---charliezap

I only have about 3 photos of photographers taking photos. Here's one shooting film.

A 4-hour+, 4-mile "strenuous" hike up Observation Point trail at Zion (about 45 minutes down). I about died, but it was worth it.

Perhaps this one is more for a laugh than an entry?

This was the day that I saw one Olly OM-something, 2 Canons, 12 Nikons and hundreds of smartphones and tablets, and yes a few selfie sticks.

At the Sand Dunes Nat Park in Colorado. My dad is the photographer in the pic, who taught me to love photography, and my oldest daughter is the main attraction.
