Posted By: maxwell1295, 06-22-2008, 09:42 AM

Here we go again with POTW #16

Feel free to post any topic you enjoy that was photographed between June 15 and June 29.

Rules as before:
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday Date> to <Sunday Date>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

I'll start it off with a candid/portrait of my step-daughter, Rebecca.....laughing at one of my lame (her word) jokes.

Thanks everyone.

Dave I like the conductor shot. And now I have the urge to go to my local farmer's market. haven't been there in a while.

Alan, I like those macros. Does your friend have a site? I just started riding and am looking for some gear....and a bike too!

Woof, that first blackeye susan is fantastic!

Rosemary, I love the entire rustic feel of that shot. The old copper kettle on the brick floor. the peeling paint on the sets it out!

Fluffy boid!

Not something I'd usually shoot. I've "borrowed" the style of one of my friends.

Subway shot.

Thanks Jeff.

My parents were in the bridal gown business for forty years. I was around a lot of weddings and such. I really love your photo. It's a great candid, and that gorgeous hair color adds a lot to it. Little stolen moments like this are to my mind much more the heart of the day than the formals. Great work.

Some great photos again . I think this thread is getting better every week !

Finally I have some times this weekend to catching up some places I should visit . You know the places that are closed by but you would never go there because in the back of your mind you think you can go any time but that "anytime" never comes !

Jack London Ruins :

It was his dream house but got burned just about it was finished . Got some images on film , too . Waiting for the lab .

woof - The lens looks like it's working really well now. Great flower shots. I love the precise DOF on that Tammy.

daacon - Thanks for making me hungry (I just stuffed my face). You walkaround style really generates some interesting images that always seem to tell a story.

ftpaddict - I like that subway ceiling shot. You ought to 'borrow' your friend's style more often.

dantuyhoa - Wow! I love the texture of that shot. Is that PP or high ISO noise? Those IR shots are stunning...

Flowering time: June to August. Origin: Europe, Asia.

Dave - Nice church shots. I have a small collection of churches that I need to upload to my site. BTW, it looks as if you have a really good copy of that lens.

Bramela - If that's the original, you did some really good PP on that shot. I'm a hack when it comes to PP and probably wouldn't think of attempting what you did there.

Woof - I love those daisies. My favorite flower shot is one of those. I may have posted this shot last week. It was shot on the 15th, so I guess I can use it in this thread.

Great shots from everyone again this week.

I decided to try out the TC 1.4x with the SMC Super Tak 200/f4 today. It sure made it a heavy combination, not something i'd want to carry around all day long.

This hive has grown since i last saw it.

Thanks Max... I really like the crop on yours. I may try that with one of mine. The dew is great. ** Nice ** frame.

Bruce - wow you did quite a bit of PP on the pitcutre it does qualify as a new one well done

woof - beautiful Daisy's these are my wife's favorite flower. Nice exposure.

Alan - thanks yeah I think it is a good one. I went to a store that had 4 copies - took my laptop and a few test shots, Rejected #1 , #2 seemed good to me but what do I know - I had 7 days for a no questions asked refund and 14 for a replacement - took a few tests (brick wall , focus chart) had mixed results (I am atributuing to user error) so took some real shots with it - was satisfied with the results and I considered it a keeper. There are a couple other churches I want to capture as well.

Anotehr Nice Daisy shot as well.

Aml - wow that is an awsome shot of the hive ! 200mm with a 1.7 would be as close as I would want to get as well.

AML - You are a much braver woman than I am! Then again. I'm not a woman...

Kim - That last rose shot is amazing...

I was bored so I decided to do a little fake Tilt/Shift work earlier today. This took less than 2 mins in GIMP to blur, resize, and sharpen.
