Posted By: maxwell1295, 06-22-2008, 09:42 AM

Here we go again with POTW #16

Feel free to post any topic you enjoy that was photographed between June 15 and June 29.

Rules as before:
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday Date> to <Sunday Date>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

I'll start it off with a candid/portrait of my step-daughter, Rebecca.....laughing at one of my lame (her word) jokes.

The weather has been a little on and off stormy the last couple of weekends but I did get the kayak in the water and got some shots off. These were taken on Lake Luzerne, NY and on the creek between there and Second Lake. I have spotted bald eagles twice on the lake this summer but haven't seen them when I had my camera but did catch this loon yesterday evening. All were shot with k10D and a Sigma 70-300.

Bramela - Another nice flower shot. Here's a tip for dealing with the one's that have shiny petals: Underexpose them to -0.7 and bring it back up in PP. It'll help with those hotspots.

roentarre - Looks like a fine gourmet meal. Good thing I'm seeing this after I already ate. That looks delicious!

gawan - Those clouds look downright scary! I hope you didn't get soaked. Nice captures...

Stratman - Nice, sharp lens with good bokeh. Looks like a keeper to me. What mount is that?

reeftool - Love that 2nd shot of the flower. That one has some potential with a little more PP applied to it.

Dave - Way to go out in style! Love the colors in the 2nd shot...

AML - As if I wasn't drooling enough for the 55-300, now you have to post these wonderful pics. Thanks for feeding my LBA...

kuuan - I just love those old Super Taks......I just don't focus them very well. I see you've got the 17-70 also. That's my "go-to" lens.
maxwell, i drool over the DA*300 but cannot afford it. I'm glad to help out a fellow Pentaxian with LBA.

I have two more pics taken today with the 55-300mm.
This one is more a cuteness factor because of the statue. I also liked the blue wall as a background and the greenery around the statue.

I think this cat was watching me more than i was him.

k100d - I love those tower shots. Yeah, they're pretty common but for some reason, the shape is interesting to me. On a side note (since you're an Arsenal fan), are you going to watch Lehman today?

AML - Two more keepers. That cat definitely had his eye on you.

dantuyhoa - Wow! I love the texture of that shot. Is that PP or high ISO noise? Those IR shots are stunning...
Sorry , I forgot this : It's both PP and ISO noise . IR photos , at least mine , are quite "noisy" . But I decided to leave it !

I am not very good with PP at this point but slowly learning. I never took many pictures of flowers or close ups like that with my film cameras but with my K10D I can take pictures all day of anything I feel like. I could never afford to do that with film.

thanks maxwell, the photos look even better at full size
i watched Lehman and Fabregas today. i thought Lehman probably gave the best performance in a German shirt by making some good saves and charging out when necessary when the the centerbacks were frequently caught out. Fabregas wasn't very effective today tho, but good to see Arsenal players win
