I'd like to thank all those who posted their photos for this challenge. You didn't make it easy. Each can be interpreted in a different way.
Each provokes a mood and feel of it's own. I've been going over each one and trying to interpret the relationship of Light and Dark with
the theme and subject of the photos. There are several winners, but I have to select one. So....
Third Place.. K David with 1937 Cadillac Cabriolet V16.
I like the way the car is "coming out into the light". You've captured the shine of the paint work and chrome very nicely and angled the shot
perfectly in my opinion. It's a great photo.
Second Place...Hattifnatt with Mountains and clouds.
Without light, there is no darkness and without the darkness there is no light. You've captured what appears to be the transition between the two.
The dark silhouette of the foreground leading to the light mountainous region in the middle and back to the dark and foreboding clouds at the top of the photo. (above you)
A feel of standing in the darkness and looking out into the light. A great pic.
First Place Sealonsf... A Night in Lisbon.
I keep looking at this photo waiting for some one to appear at the window or burst out the front door, or a mugging to happen. It has to me a feel of a drama
about to unfold. The night hides its' secrets and the light reveals them to the world. Light and Dark, they work with each other, yet against each other.
Well done for invoking a feeling of mystique in your photo.

Sorry but I don't know how to link the winning Photo to this thread. If some one can do it, it would be appreciated.
