June 8th was a sunday in 2008, seems like a fair choice, just like the date of challenge #3 - but of course photos taken on june 8th of any other year can be posted!

so here it is, the Weekly Date Challenge #4:

The date for challenge #4 is June 8

The winner for #4 will be picked on friday July 4th ( eh..I hope so, I will be on a flight the same day, not sure if I shall find time..arghh, maybe delayed to the 5th? )

The winner each week will pick the next date and host the challenge and pick the winner.

Here are the rules which should carry forward from week to week

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 800x800) as a response to THIS post and can be a digital photo or a scanned photo.
2. The photo must be taken on the date of the challenge and can taken in any year.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The challenge host will pick the WINNERS and and the first place winner will host the next challenge and pick the next date.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.

Either I've been lucky with the dates being picked or I shoot something that's halfway decent just about every day.

Thats a very cool car photo and a strong start to the 4th challenge. Wasnt able to reply to your pm kuuan, was at the movies but I see you got everything set up right so you are doing fine.

kuuan you can make it thursday too imo if friday is not good. I think most who have photos will submit theirs by then.

Well Ill be dammed if the 8th isnt the only day this month I actually shot something. I was sure I didnt have anything I couldnt even remember what on earth I shot. turns out I took my cam with me on a sunday walk. Nothing great tho but at least I got something

I'm going to share two and a story. The second shot I post is my entry for this challenge. Now, to set the scene...Bottom of the last inning...the tying run is on third base, two outs, the winning run is on first. My son is up to bat, he has two strikes on him. Here comes the pitch...

Here is the hit. He smacked it good right up the middle and drove the winning run in from first base to win the game! Whoohooo. This was their second playoff game and they squeaked out a win. His coaches were mighty pleased.

The tongue thing always cracks me up. So many of the kids have their tongues out when they are batting!

I was fortunate enough to be traveling for work in Milan, Italy, and since it was Sunday, I was able to wander the city for a while.

This is a shot from the inside of the Mariae Nascenti Cathedral.
