Weekly Challenge #63 - Bodies in Motion
Posted By: bigben91682, 06-29-2008, 01:56 PM

Looks like it's my turn, so here we go!

Weekly Challenge #62: Bodies in Motion

Originally I was thinking martial arts, but thought the scope was a bit limited, and decided on Bodies in motion - This can include sports, dance, martial arts, play etc. the sky is the limit. My preference would be for people to be the "bodies", but I'll leave the subject open to interpetation.

Please submit entries till midnight GMT on Monday, July 7th, 2008.

Looking forward to some creative entries

The rules are as always:

The rules:
1. Post ONE photo (max 1000x1000, I prefer bigger sized ones ) as a response to THIS post.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme. It can be colour or B&W, your choice.
3. You can offer as much or as little additional information as you wish, but I'd be interested to know the location/event/whatever being depicted.
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and chose 1 of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. The challenge runs for 7 days plus a day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax camera will do or a Samsung DSLR.

Taken on Signal Hill in St. John's, NL just before sunset. I was on the ground taking this shot back in May and this guy ran to the top of the rocks and turned around right away and jumped off. I wish I had the shutter faster at the time but you can't exactly ask a stranger to keep jumping off something until you get it right.

It has a nice ethereal effect. I'm not sure it would have the same impact with a freeze action shutter speed.

One of the first pictures taken with new K100d last year in August (may have been the first day out of the box). Picture using burst mode of my dog Thomas chasing a Cicada Killing Wasp. Used Kit lens, f11, 1/750 sec., 50mm. Love the intensity in his eyes!
There are some great shots this week. It's been awhile since I've posted to this thread but I think I might have something.

This shot is a knockout! What a perfect capture and great timing. Needs no title. One word: WOW!

Don't know if I've made the time cut, just saw this thread. Taken last year, I have technically "better" shots of this drumming group, but I really like the interaction between the two in this shot. K10D and the wonderful K 135 f2.5
