WEEKLY CHALLENGE # 352 - Fog and Mist
Posted By: Bruce Clark, 05-31-2016, 12:57 AM

Having been handed the chalice, I looked back through the challenges for the last 12 months or so looking for a topic that had not been used. As I have always preferred landscapes this provided me with too wide a gamut. To narrow the field but still leave it wide open for interpretation I settled on Fog and Mist. Go out and get some of that cold clammy stuff between your lens and subject. Good luck you have 7 days or June 7th Australian Eastern Standard time. Here are a couple from my collection as a starter. Stardard contest rule below

Everyone is eligible as long as the photo is captured with a Pentax/Ricoh/Samsung camera.

Rules
1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Ricoh DSLR ) camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

A foggy bushwalk with my son in the late 90s in the Gold Coast Hinterlands. I was using my Dad's Spotmatic with 35mm F2. Don't remember settings ;-). Fuji film and processed scan from positive.

Am I ever glad I don't have to judge this challenge. Every photo posted is good! And I have to find something old to try and compete, no fog this week.

Hey guys, hope all is well! wonderful shots so far! Took this shot while working at 2014 winter olympics. Was just something so serene and yet so lonely about this ship. Hope you like it.Name: uploadfromtaptalk1465139157536.jpg

I went through all my stuff on Flickr, and this was the only one coming close to this week's challenge. I guess I need to become an early-riser. Already in this thread, there are some spectacular images, so I'll post one that'll land squarely on the left side of the curve. I didn't have any environmental fog, but I did fog up my M50 one day and take an abstract in my apartment and ended up with this.

This was one of those once in a blue moon lighting opportunities, when the sun starts breaking through a thick fog.

Have I made it in time?
A misty morning in Newclare, where I live, and converted to Sepia to give it an olde world feel.
