Nice work Tom, love the Pylon shot, they've always drawn my eye, these look majestic marching away across the open landscape.
The Bridge (?) supports one is brilliantly shot, love it.

We had our annual Independence Day celebrations this past weekend with a water ski show followed by fireworks later in the evening. The weather was as good as it gets.

At a pool party, decided she needed to get out of the house.

Visited Rietvlei Nature Reserve again yesterday. Mondays are my day off from ministry matters and I will usually try and get away-either to a park, or as in this case a nature reserve. This one, about an hour's drive from where I live, is conveniently close enough for me to visit regularly. Its winter and that means dry season, so the bird life is not as prolific as it can be. Still There is always great photo opportunities. These are all from that visit.
First time for me to see a Cape Shoveler-another bird to tick off my list.


It's not every day you get to see a two headed Ostrich


The Lapwing got some lunch while I was there


The ugly side of de-horning the Rhino there, but it does save their lives.


Always enjoy seeing the Yellow Mongoose- usually they will skirt away-very much like a restless ball of nerves


A magnificent Water Buck peering at me suspiciously


So too were the Eland, but from a safer distance

Nice work Noel, you're very lucky to have all that wildlife so close by, we have squirrels and the odd deer.

I used a Sigma 150-500, K5 on a monopod.
