Weekly Photo Challenge #358 - Interiors - WINNERS
Well! I wasn't surprised at the variety of interiors, what did surprise me was the variety!!!!
I didn't expect things like the interior of a balloon, the almost open air blacksmith's shop, the Jewish memorials, or the huge space with the terracotta warriors.
I loved the contrast between some of the images; for example the intense colours of the Heart's pool and the pastel shades of the teahouse and the superb housekeeping of the two churches compared with the derelict soda fountain.
Great job to all the contributors and thanks for entering.
And now my choices.
I have limited myself to three, and anyone else might have chosen a different three; that's the result of us all being different!
THIRD
matt123 - Interior of a balloon. One of the quirky ones I would not have expected.
I loved the colour, the converging panels, and the silhouettes of those waiting for a ride (?) added interest without distracting from the theme.
SECOND
slowpez - Indoor pool. The intensity of the colour got me! I don't like oversaturated images, but the colour here is very believable (Even if you did do lots of saturation!).
I loved that you captured the opulence of the room, the perfect reflection, the light on the bottom of the pool.
AND THE WINNER IS...
StephenHampshire - Signal Box. - The natural vignetting focusses all the attention on the signalman at his desk. There is just enough detail in the image to place the man in his environment without losing focus on him. I think it is superb.
