Here are a couple from some shots I took yesterday. The weather was deplorable but I was interested in the very high seas , but had abated somewhat from the day before. 5mtr waves pounding the coast.

This is a shot of 'The Bogey Hole'. Actually its a pool carved out of solid rock. It was made by convicts, early 19th century for a Settlement Commander or something. Used to have chain round it for safety, hence the posts. The brave individuals still use it.

Coast of my home city. Low Art Deco building on right is local seawater swimming pool.

A beach inhabitant seeing out the rough seas.

Alltaken with K10d and Sigma 135-400

I agree with Dave, what a hard job, but I suppose someone has to do it. I'll stand in when you want a holiday

Some were probably not even born yet and I will admit I was a toddler back then , but if you are in the second half of life and were a bad ass teenager in the days of the Beach Boys and Beatles hey day you may have been chased by this ....

Thanks Dave. A bit of sun would have put a bit of sparkle into the shots.
Like your series particularly of the Motorcycles. Your camera has been a bit busy of late by the looks. Well done!

Caught in the act! My wife caught me with the K100D/FA50 while I was scoping out some flowers with the K200D/Sigma 17-70.

The end result was worth it...

Alan - it happens to the best of us - we end up on the other side of the lens I love you style in #2 feet are square , knees slightly bent, camera bag safely secured , haha and yes the results speak for themselves well done.

2iper - nice variety - #2 looks like very low natural light - I like the composition of the last one.

You're right Dave.....much better form in the 2nd pic. Squatting like I did in the 1st is not very stable and even harder to get up from.....just ask my knees!

Very nice series bruce. Like the shot and story about the pool. I'm surprised theres nothing to keep it up (for historical reasons). Like the pelican(?) shot as well.

Great stuff this week dave. I like the motorcycle series and the police car as well. I'm just old enough to remember those. Our local station had a couple that were retired when i was a kid. Had it been a few years later, I'd have been in the back seat at least once (don't ask). Good shots!

maxwell1295. That's not FA50!!! I suspect your 17-70 maybe. Good result though. Yeah we just can't be self-conscious when shooting stuff like that.

Nice series 2ipper. I really like the 1st and 4th ones. Keep it going!

My latest favourite from last night:

Yes Peter, it was the Sigma 17-70......she shot it with the FA50.

BTW, that sunset (moonrise?) shot is just sick.....the BIF really adds that finishing touch.

Duh, i'll learn to read. When you said "she caught me with" I thought you meant you had that camera and lens. Back to ESL classes.....

It's a sunset taken with a Meade Schmidt 1000mm f10 telescope converted to K mount.

Alan - lets not talk knees today - currently on naproxin to help with mine ahhh getting old sucks! Wow can almost see the molcules of the pollen great capture.

Peter Thanks for the comments. Back of a police car eh ?? I always like to say ..."never convicted" when asked about my "youth" ........that Sun Set is as impressive here as it was in the Photo Thread thanks for sharing. The bird in flight realy adds to that shot.

Tran - I like the BW and pose of your model. How do you get a model ? Does the better half have to sign off as well
