Weekly Challenge CAPTION CONTEST: August 23rd through to August 30th

CAPTION CONTEST: August 23rd through to August 30th · **1 Like**

All the same applies as before... Welcome to the next round of PF's weekly photo caption contest! All forum members are welcome to vote for their favourites among the submitted captions, and members who submit captions are encouraged to vote for other submissions they also like. In fact you can vote for as many captions as you want in each round; however, since voting is done by "LIKING" the post including a caption you want to vote for, the system will not let you vote more than once for any caption or vote for your own caption submissions.

At the end, I'll do a quick tally up and the one with the most likes is the winner. If there is a tie, I will cast the "Chairpersons vote".

The winner will thus earn the distinct and high honour of submitting the photo for the next photo contest round and of moderating that round.

Enjoy this wee contest, something a little more subtle from me this time.

Relaxing their forced smiles, Norman and Barbara are grateful that they won't have to teach another tourist The Macarena until next week's cruise ship sails into port.

"Five minuets, that's the difference between tourist and hitchhiker". After missing the last tender to the cruise ship they really understood the meaning of this saying.

It looks to me like as many captions as are submitted for some of the past rounds ,,, and this after only the first three days of the contest period! On the other hand, I always wonder how we can recruit more participants...?

I must admit I do look at this most weeks, but not always does something spring to mind to say.

I will have to refuse moderator status if I win, I'm afraid. I never expected to win, plus work and home fronts are closing in on me from both sides with unexpected and unpleasant vigor and I do not think I can do the task justice.

Be sure to vote for all of the other captions you like, to lessen the chance you will have to turn down the prize!
