Weekly Challenge Caption Contest October 4 thru October 11

Welcome to our next round of the PF Photo Caption Contest! All forum participants are invited to make up captions for the photo posted below, posting each caption as a separate reply. Anyone reading these captions is welcome to vote for as many of their favorites as they like, by using the forum's message LIKE button. Caption submitters can also vote for as many of their favorites as well, except that the LIKE feature won't let you vote for your own caption. Also, nobody can LIKE any caption more than once.

Sometime before Noon (Central Time, USA) on October 12, I will total the LIKE votes and declare who won the contest. If there is a tie vote, I will cast a deciding vote (or flip a coin, if I really can't pick which is better).

The winner will be awarded the distinct honor and high privilege of moderating the next round of the contest, which means not only introducing it and counting the votes, but also posting a picture of theirs to be the subject for captioning. If you submit a caption, be ready to win and take on the winner's duties, because it could be you. You might be cleverer than you think you are!

It took me a few days to come up with a photo when I won the last contest round. Don't be like me, be ready.

Winner Announcement:

A few hours before I should have been checking the totals on this contest, I suffered a bump on the head. I have been nursing the gash that happened, trying to keep it from opening up again. I HAD NOT thought I had a concussion or memory loss.... Then today I got an email message from one of you. "Contest?" I wondered. "Something about that is familiar. Hmmm?"

Anyway, I've just checked the totals (anyone who snuck in a vote after the deadline gets a pass), and we have a tie with two captions, those by smf and by Harry_the_Wambat, which each earned 4 votes. Before I tell which one I have used my moderator's tie-breaking vote to select as winner, I want to thank all the participants! We don't always get this many submissions, and rarely are this many votes cast! Let's build on this level of participation.

While choosing between the two top vote-getters is difficult, I declare the submission by Harry_the_Wombat the winner! His caption surprised me just a tad more. Harry, we look forward to your taking over to moderate the next round. Please post a link to the next contest round in this thread so that no one misses where to find it. Thanks.
