Thank you slowpez for hosting last week.
Shout out to LondonWombat for starting the color challenges.
His idea was for the weekly challenge to start with BLACK, then each subsequent week, move through all colors of the visual spectrum (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet) and then end with WHITE.

- Guidelines for each week would be that the colored area should be the focus of the photo - or a sizeable portion of it.

This week's color is BLUE and I'll throw in a caveat. Since this week overlaps the holiday of giving thanks in the U.S., in gratitude to Indigenous people, I would like to celebrate "Water is Life!" Photos can have water in any form, or anything that depends on water for living - with blue being the predominant color of course.

The Challenge will close on Sunday, November 27, midnight in your time zone.

The Rules:

1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Ricoh DSLR ) camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, then the winner will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.

Cold morning at Windermere

While on vacation in Florida the sky at night at the rental was AWESOME.A 30sec time exposure brought out the "blue" which is always out there be it day or night.It was a humbling just to be there and soak it all in.

WOW, there are cracking images in this weeks challenge, as usual. What inspiration!
Under a tent, with one of those rotating color globes, and some fancy decor including a blue Chinese lamp
