Caption Contest: December 28 2016 .. January 03 2017 · 09:18 AM

The contest will run from December 28 2016 through January 03, 2017. Votes will be counted thereafter.

NB: VOTE ("like") FOR SOMEONE WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE AN ENTRANT....!!

Submissions can be in any written form (no video or audio files) — caption, limerick, motivational, poem or prose — whatever inspires you to describe the photo or catch attention. Submit by replying to the thread. Contestants may submit more than one entry but it must be in a separate post. Important: Even if you do not submit an entry, please “like” any posts you feel deserve it as this is how the winner is chosen. And if you DO submit an entry, please also find an entry that you like from among your competitors' efforts and "like" that one as well.

The "thread starter" is the moderator and must post an original photo at the start of the thread. In case of a tie the moderator will choose one to break the tie. After determination of the contest's winner, that winner will be notified ASAP after by the current Thread Starter/Contest Host and will become responsible for posting the next original work to be captioned. Enter often, vote more often. and most important: Have fun !

EDITH: Vern, I thought the tassels are supposed to go on Junior's right after he gets his diploma?

VERN: No, Honey, it goes on the right side as it looks from the audience's point of view.

EDITH: Are you sure?

VERN: Trust me, Snookems, I got this.

VERN JR: Mom, stop it! Pops, take the blasted photo already! I gotta go partay with my peeps! I can see 'em buyin' beer at the Quick Stop from here!

Happy New Year to everybody!. Our contest is now over hill top (or rather over hump top). But it is still three more days to go. Hope there will be more captions and (really important) more votes. So far all captions look very good for me. If there will be tie I will have a hardship to break it.

Congrats Fraggle79, This caption popped into my head too late: "I wouldn't be doing this if my agent had negotiated residuals from that modeling shoot with the tobacco company."
