Challenge #378 - Lights in the night
Posted By: aiglobulles, 01-25-2017, 05:42 PM

Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you very much for electing my winning photo of the previous competition.
According to the rules, it is therefore up to me to propose the theme of the next:
I propose you the theme "Lights in the night".

Good luck to all, and let the trigger be with you

The challenge will close on midnight my time on Thursday, February 2 2017.

PS: Please excuse my misunderstanding and conjugation, but I was a bad student at school

The Rules:

1. Post ONE photo (max 1024x1024).
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5. The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs for 7 days plus an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Ricoh DSLR ) camera can be used.
8. Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, then the winner will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge

I had a real dilemma about whether to go manmade or natural. My first instinct was to go natural, but after seeing all the other entrees I felt pressured to go manmade. But what the hell, I'm sticking with my first instinct.

Part of a senior citizens' housing complex was photographed for World Pentax Day in 2012 with a tripod-mounted Pentax K100D and 18-55mm Pentax lens.

Some phenomenal entries. Since I'm commenting, I might as well post something as well. Christmas lights is my wife's thing, not mine. We haven't spent Christmas at our place since we had a place together almost 30 years ago, but that doesn't stop my wife from going all out at home.

This is part of a series I'm working on of my city at night, using only available light. This is one of the centerpieces of town.
