Posted By: maxwell1295, 08-10-2008, 06:14 PM

POTW : This week from Sunday August 3rd - Sunday August 17th.

Lets keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday august 03> to <Sunday august 10>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Thanks Alan .

I was just about to start the POTW , too .

Alan - First shot is very cool with all the geometry elements . I wonder how it looks in BW ? Love the "love" in your last image .

Dave - Your second image is very cool . I'm nutty guy for bokeh

My share . Nothing new but more boring image of model !

Barbarian on The Roof

We were both on the roof . K10D + DA*50-135 .

jthommo - nice pleican ? shot looks like you got pretty close or a nice crop. Lovce the Landscape a bit of sun flare there and the ship is well framed. Maybe a BW conversion on the ship ?

Tran - Thanks for the comments. Again unique pose with the model shoot. Definatley out of the box thinking on that one. As for the Fisheye thread it is still growing haha !

gpaual - I like the framing on #1 , #2 is that fish bait ?

Haven't posted here for awhile... great stuff so far this week, folks!

I decided to give my DA55-300 a walkaround test on a hike along the Ohio River this past weekend. Of course, the only thing I shot were bugs Old habits die hard... and the 55-300 performed very well...

Rosemary - nice series - love the golf shots - unique take on the Bride and Groom. Wedding are sooooooooooooo expensive these days I hope more people include their passions in the event. Edit: I see she was teeing off on the bouquet ha-ha did she take a full grip and rip?

Bud - a nice series indeed Wow on #2 and #3 you do get a sense of speed.

Borno - Love the eagle in flight. I have not had much sucess with birds in flight. Rest of the series is good as well. Your tough week produced some stellar shots.

KungPow - great street photography. I think the BW conversion really adds to the shots.

A few more from me from the weekend. Click on image for larger view

I am surprised these guys are still around.

I like this shot see the one Goose checking me out ?

A little OOF but I like the bokeh

I'm always amazed at the great bird pictures I see posted. I have been trying all season to get some decent shots of a Heron on one of our local lakes with no luck at all. He (or she) is very shy of people and usually will take off before I see him. Finally this weekend between all the t-storms and overtime I was paddling on the lake and was able to get some shots before he spotted me and took off. All with a K10D and Sigma 70-300 and cropped.
